I needed something more family friendly then my 86 Crapmaro, so I picked up this roach for $500, yes its a FORD (F'D Over Rolling Disaster) but I feel it was a decent buy. I just hope she is as good to me as the Camaro has been.

    1979 LTD S
    351 Windsor
50,000 original miles, tho she was neglected her whole life.
She is loaded with Cruise, Tilt, AC, Rear Defroster, all of which dont work except the tilt and rear defroster, lol. It has a Class 3 hitch, which is a bonus, too bad the air shocks are blown out :slap: It had a destroyed vinyl top that was severly dry rotted, tore and flapping in the breeze. I peeled it off, sanded the glue residue off and sprayed the roof with Krylon's Hammered Metal in charcoal grey. For being a big old 351, it does run OK, just OK, the little 2.8 in my Crapmaro feels alot more snappy and quick. But $500 for 50,000 miles, I am not gonna complain all that much.

Needs either some different wheels or hubcaps to cover then gnarly steelies

Interior needs cleaned up, Notice the steering column tore apart, Was looking for turn signal issues. Ended up being bad grounds.

Yes thats a GENUINE! AM/FM 8-Track and it even works!!!! SCORE!

This is my Crapmaro that I will still keep and use as a work and 2nd car, for $400 she has been great to me. I only invested a $25 exhaust pipe and a $5 thermostat and gasket into her since I got her in March. She does not owe me a dime. I have a full set of the rear wheels as well as a full set of Z28 wheels for her. She has big 215/75/15s studded snows on the rear and little 185/70/14 studded snows on the front right now. Best part is, we have not had any snow yet, HAHAHA!

Good for you Scott, the LTD is quite the beasty but for the price you did just fine. I'm glad the Crapmaro hasn't given you any problems, hell man the tires are worth the $400.00 you paid. Good on ya brother.

I'll see if I can dig up some 80's butt rock tapes for your blue oval. :rofl2:

HAHA, thanks Dewey, I have a few old ones around here, some REO, Sabath, AC/DC and my mom has a ton of Elvis and older then dirt Country if I am in the mood to get really depressed while driving :rofl2:

Crapmaro has been a damn good car for me, she just keeps motoring along, tho she is getting tired and starting to guzzle more then her share of gas latley(out of time I think) 16-18mpg where she used to pull mid 20's on average.

I have been all over her, from top to bottom and I cannot find any rust anywhere. The paint is really nice, beautiful shade of green and has a nice shine to it. With a wash and wax, she will look a ton better.

**** Tedy, 351 Windsor, 2bbl motorpuke carb, 3 speed tranny, 4000+ weight, she is good for high 40mpg according to some people!

This turd would be lucky to get 15mpg on its best day. I remember to "carry the 1" when I do my math. :thumbs2:

That was me in Highschool to Dewey, mullet and all! Tho I had a 350sbc in my 80 Buick Regal, but she did have T-Tops. I was more of a Motley Crew guy but did jam to some Leopard when it was playing. I also kept a bottle of Jose Tequila Gold under the seat.

    Scott,
    Looks like a great buy!
Find some small center caps and polished trim rings; that would look good on those notched steelies.

Look at that Tedy! Dang man you would have fit in perfect with me and my friends! That car is pimp my friend. 84 was a great year, I was a senior that year...what I can remember was pretty fun.

By the way Tedy my quote seems to be slightly altered.
