Last year was a big success. We are expect way more boats this year. Many are making the drive up from the states! So if you find yourselves up in the Okanagan of BC, and wanna check out a cool boat show, c'mon by! Or bring your boat! All woodys, aluminums, and fiberglassics are welcome!! Here is some pictures from last years show. Thats a taste of what will be attending. There will also be free rides for kiddies and adults who want to check out a classic for the first time on their own.
Cool. Thought maybe you traded the old boats for diapers with that new baby Thanks for sharing the pictures and congrats on that baby
I'm sorry I'm so far away again this year, bolt! Wish I could be there. I love those old Chris Crafts and other old boats that I had so much fun in when I was a kid. I was born and raised in Madison which is built between 2 beautiful lakes. Boats were a way of life and a way to pick up girls off the beaches! Have fun with your boat at the show!
Stove my chubby friend....i had really hoped i would have mine painted for this year...but i think you may have to settle for me and the trailer instead:banana:
Very cool. The old wooden boats are true works of art, and the later finned 50's-60's boats are such fun to look at. Neat stuff! -Mike
We will be at a vintage trailer event in Wenatchee that weekend. We will likely be in Oliver the weekend before, or that is the plan at the moment, so we miss your event by a darned week. I love vintage boats. Used to go to the show in Victoria in the 80's. Just this past week we spied a vintage boat with '57 Chevy fins sitting in the weeds on a dead trailer near our place that I figure needs to be rescued. My chauffer was not as impressed as I was and did not stop and pull immediately off to the side as I'd hoped when I yelled "holy crap, look at that, quick, pull over". Instead she hit the gas and I'm sure she was not "lost", just taking all kinds of turns to confuse me as to where it is. Have fun, be sure to post pictures, and oh, by the way, where is that '59 wagon? Will it be on the road this year? Hey, someone had to ask
@tireman, thanks for the congrats! She is rad indeed. We are just waiting for her life jacket to get here, then she will be able to join us. As for changing diapers, thats what smooth, flat engine cowls are for! @Safari...............wings? WHERE?!??! HAHA! A little update for you on the wagons. My red 59 has a brand new floor. Seam sealed, Por 15nd, and rock solid braces. It is glorious. The new interior is getting done, and I saw the seats the other day, and my pants got a iittle tighter. The restored one is just waiting for paint to be done, then it's reassembly!!
