Hello fellow wagon fans. My name is Bob and I recently picked up a 1971 Kingswood from a friend. I think its amazing there are any survivors out there after we drove these rusty cars into the ground as kids or saw them in the demo derby. I inherited 1967 Galaxie 500 as a 16 year old and put more oil in it than gas. Had a 1965 Impala wagon too, that when I filled up the gas tank the straps gave out. Anyways looking forward to giving this car some TLC. It's been a long time since I rebuilt a 2 barrel Rochester and it runs great now! Let me know if you're driving thru and we'll grab a dog at Tony Packo's.

Welcome Bob! Hope you enjoy your stay here on the forums. My dad had one of these when I was seven or eight years old, used to go to the races almost every Friday or Saturday nights. When your young it seems that the back of those wagons were so big, like a camper or something. Again welcome and thanks for the flash back of memories of such a fine wagon!.... Longroofs Rule!

OMG! What are you guys talking about? My boss used to tease Clancy about those nooses he had in his VW Rabbit. His girlfriend was named, Debbie and our boss would call those nooses, "Debbie straps". The rest, I'll leave to you to figure out.
