Have any of you seen this magazine? It is the most excellent magazine that I've ever seen. I've been getting it for 3 months now. There has been coverage of automobiles from 1908 thru the 1980's so far in three months. Oldsmobile was the featured mark in March. Very nice coverage. There was a short piece on the Vista Cruiser. It's been in existance now for 32 months. I hope I haven't missed a station wagon issue. They seem to either pick a mark or a particular body style to feature. The April issue seemed to revolve around collector cars under $10,000. I got it at the start of a guy restoring a 55 Buick Skylark Convertable that the sheet metal, including the floors, was rusted away from the bottom up 6 full inches. He's never done a restoration before. Very detailed with photos. One more installation on this subject. It's a great magazine for those of us keeping older wagons. It's a cover to cover read. There's no uninteresting articles at all. I highly recommend it. I think I paid $34.99 for 12 issues and it's a bargain. I'm sure it's more for you Canadian folks.
i could not agree more it,s really good quality magazine ,,,i have been gettin it for about a year and a half now and yes you missed out on a station wagon issue,,,they even had an issue on them tween cars,,,you know tween old and older,,,,70,s and 80,s stuff,, those cars that are to old to be new and to new to be old and how about that restoration segment on that 56 buford convertible ??,,,,,i have seen quite a few restorations done by regular guys at home and these cars are nice
let me look through my issues and i,ll post the month of the wagons here i,ll try to do it by tommorow
have been going through all my Hemmings, for I was sure I had a monthly magazine laying around with a special about stationwagons, but couldn't find it... just found out it wasn't Hemmings, but a very hard to read magazine called "Chroom en Vlammen" (Chrome and Flames), due to a very bad translation from German language into Dutch: for example: the german word "combi" ("stationwagon") on the cover is a word we don't use ; in dutch it is same as in english: stationwagon )
...thats the only issue of 'chrome and flames' that i ever bought ....and they translate it???....its terrible in english
have been reading and enjoying if since its inception - great reads, info and knowledge on all types of cars for your entertainment
yes, i love it. always a good article. even reading about Chevy cavaliers in a recent one. Following restorations, reading about unthought of cars.
