good evening my name is tim i live in florida and as of yesterday became a wagon owner again with the purchase of a 1996 buick roadmaster estate.my family has owned numerous wagons over the years my dad owned a '78 buick estate,'79 delta 88 cruiser,80 malibu classic(which later became mine)and going way back a 64 rambler wagon(which i believe was the car i almost born in).I,well actually my ex-wife owned a '93 mercury tracer wagon and a '94 buick century wagon.my sister owns a '92 mercury sable wagon so as you see we like the wagons around here great family vehicles which works for me being a single parent my son is 8 and my daughter is 5 and they love dads new car.anyway look forward to sharing info and whatever else with you all thanks and have a blessed day.
As a '96 Caprice owner, I can appreciate the vintage of your wagon. Does that one come with the rear sway bar and heavy duty suspension and the LT1 motor? Welcome!
yes it sure does i took it out and opened it up and it's quite fast haven't had a car run like that since my '74 javelin.
Ya they got some poop! I only have the much maligned 4.3V8 in mine, but it still moves out quite nicely. The 9C1 police cars came with good gears.
It looks like Buick will be one of the few GM survivors of the latest financial fiasco killing the automakers.
thanks for the replies i'll snap some pics today i've dubbed the car big pimpin.almost forgot how fun these wagons can be the '80 malibu wagon i had was a lot of fun.
Welcome! i'm new here too. my Roadmaster is a '93 white woody, what color is yours? i think they are the "cadillac" of station wagons. they're so aerodynamic they look like they are flying even when they are parked. they fly through the air with such ease before you even know it you're speeding! i wish i had the heated seats though. everything else is standard. can't wait to see yours.
hey road your car and mine could be twins i have the same colour scheme i assume the interior is tan seems like alot of them were white.
