Hey name is Calvin Moss live in Charleston WV. An I currently have a 2008 Chevy HHR SS 4 door black on black 5 spd manual. I am currently looking for a 1969-1971 Chrysler, Dodge or Plymouth wagon to replace my HHR. I like the HHR its just I am having a ton of problems with it an have a lawyer fighting lemon law an the whole nine yards. I am wanting no newer than 71 because the EPA started putting emissions on vehicles in 72 I want one without all the EPA BS on it. I have plans for one just got to find it. I am planning to add the hideaway headlights to it as well as other things an just have some good ol fun with ol american muscle an put a 440 in it as well as other things. Looking for info on those car an what all options can be added to cars like that as well as were to look for car like that an so on. Looking for any & all help I can get on this. Thanks :taz:

Welcome Calvin. I like your 'Reverse Engineering' approach! Did you ever wonder if there were ever 'covered wagon' regulations.:disagree: :Welcome:

Good luck with the hunt, but this might give you a kickstart. Check out all 4 sites, while you're at it:

    Emissions 101:

PVC valves- installed to replace draft tubes-1963. No perceived or proven effect on performance.

Smog pumps: No engine performace degrade except for the 5-10 hp to turn the pump. Installed on the Camaro Z28 in 1968. By 1970 most cars had it.

EGR: Started first on Buick in 1973.

I think you may be safe!:yahoo:
