Well after sitting around looking at your wagons I finally decided to chime in and say HELLO !!! I have a 1965 Vista Cruiser that I've been slowly working on ... Did the front disc brake conversion , rear boxed arms with sway bar .. Body work has been started even though not much to do .. Only rust out is on the drivers inside pillar about 1.5 inches long ... around all windows good , presently most of them held in with tape , (all pulled to check for rust ) 2 rows of seats , no 3rd seat option ..Even spare tire well not rusted out .. California car origionally .. Factory V/8 , A/C , A/T , P/S , P/B , Power rear glass , Fawn interior and exterior ... Coke bottle mags ... Sorry for the poor pictures , Will post more pictures as work progresses .. :whew:

Welcome! Looks like a good project. Am I noticing some problems up on the 'vista' glass?

Also - what part of Oregon are you from?

Hi too everybody and thanks for the support and positive comments !!! I'm in Gresham,Oregon .... As for the upper and all the other vista glass , its all in nice shape .. no seperation or spider webbing .. just looks bad in pictures because I have duc tape holding it all in place since I had to remove it from the body shop when they closed .. plus gave me a good oppurtunity to make sure there was no rust under the glass before being painted , and then developing a water leak when it rains .... Plus everything will be painted and resealed ...(y)

How long have you been peeping :Welcome:

    My very first car was a 1964 F-85 flattop wagon.(y) (in 1980)

    I got it as a hand-me down car that needed a 3/4 nose , I found a 65' front clip so wuulah! I had a 1965 wagon ;)

Now I have a 72 Cutlass flatop :bouncy:

I've always loved the VC's and remember how jealous I was of the other kids in my neighborhood who's parents owned one. I seem to remember reading somewhere that in '72 when the Hurst Olds Cutlass convertible was the Indy 500 Pace car, that Hurst had put the same drivetrain and equipment on a few Vista Cruisers as well. Wouldn't you love to get your hands on one of those, assuming of course, that there's still a few in existence.
