i picked up a heater valve for my 87 307 caprice classic. the one in the car is different though. the new one has an inlet on the top and the old one doesn't. however it doesn't seem like the inlet is even usuable or passes air/fluid. no picture i find shows the part like the old one in the car now. any ideas or knowledge on this?

    thanks
