well i noticed the heat didn't work at all nor does the A/C. the fan doesn't even kick on. but there is a random wire under the hood that when i put on a ground spot the heat comes on and the fan only blows at full speed. thus why i have it unhooked. now i have had no luck locating a wire diagram. there's 2 diff female harness's but no males for them to connect too.
I don't know Buick wiring from page 2, but it sounds like some part of it is missing. Maybe a noise suppressor/capacitor. When I first read your post, I got an image of a 3-way orgy. 2 females and no male to connect to. Anyway, turn on the radio and try connecting the wires again. If you get static on the radio, then I'm sure a GM dealer could give you a part number and maybe a picture from their old manuals.
a PO could of hard wired it when it failed to work right, mine is like that. Its on or off and it blows like a gail force wind. That one is new enough you can get a used chilton for $10 on ebay. Though if its a keeper you want the chassis service manual, not even close to cheap used n greasy but a gold mine of info.
