First off, does anyone know where I can order, or where I may find a rear headlinere for my 80's box GM full size wagon. the previous owner let squirrels chew the old one and threw it away, so I am missing the rear board.

Second, who has ideas for replacing the sound insulation under the carpet?

I would try a local "Pull-a-Part" salvage yard.
You'll probably need to re-cover it, but you;ll have the right substrate.
They were common for all the divisions and all (1977-90) years, so you might have a good chance of finding one.

If you are replacing the carpet, you can purchase the carpet with the OE type "mass-backed" deadener from ACC or whomever you order the carpet from. I don't know if they'll sell the deadener only, but it's worth asking.
I have been very satisfied with carpets from ACC www.accmats.com and from Stock Interiors www.stockinteriors.com.

I have also had good results using foil-backed, peel-and-stick roofing seal material as floor deadener. I bought the rolls at Lowes.

Why in the world would anyone let squirrels chew up a headliner?
I'd buy some cheap paneling or that silver insulating board from a Home Depot or a Lowes type store and make my own then recover it.
    And shoot the squirrels.
