    Hi all,
I have a 64 Falcon wagon that is impossible to get fuel in at the gas station. I have to fill 5 gal. cans and transfer it. Is there a vent system or another way to get the fuel in without it backing up and spilling all over the side of my car? The hose seems to be unrestricted for what I can tell. just doesn't seem to vent enough air to be replaced with gas.
    Thanks

We had a very similar problem a few years ago with out 63 Falcon Ranchero. It was maddening. We finally discovered the vent tube on top of the tank was plugged almost completely with years of dirt and grime. We cleaned it out and haven't had a problem since.
That would be the first thing I would check.

Thanks, I will check it out. Hopefully that’s it.

You're welcome. We spent a ton of time and money trying to reconcile the problem. In the end it was a simple (frustratingly simple) problem with an equally simple solution.

    I hope it works out.
