MY pick? The '65 Futura....but that price is way too rich for my blood.

I like that Comet Villager in Chicago. Weird, it looks as if it's never had d-noc applied. Probably a fairly rare wagon, being a K code.

I could be wrong, but I thought the Mercury woody wagons 1964 and earlier, didn't use Di-noc. I thought they actually had faux wood painted on. Any early Mercury Colony Park or Villager owners out there have any input?

That's a new one on me, Jim.
I would think that painting faux wood on a wagon would be too labor intensive for a factory, when they could slap Di-Noc on......

    Looks like Di-Noc to me....

You might be right about the 64 Comet. But I know factory photos I've seen of early 60's Colony Parks looked too glossy to be Di-noc. Also, early 60's Mercury woody wagons I have seen over the years in salvage yards appeared to have painted on wood that had worn off over the decades.

Hmm... wonder if shipping is an option. I'm eyeballing a few of them.

Interesting. I had no idea. That might explain why the above Comet has nothing left. Or someone did a thorough job of removing the di-noc.

Early 60's Mercury woody's I've seen in salvage yards have faded wood with the paint showing through like on the doors of this 62 thats on Craigslist.
