Way back when Stormin' Norman had said his 200 six in the Fairmont was peppy. I disagreed as I thought my Cougar (200 lbs heavier) wasn't so peppy.

Well. I now can describe peppy. Since the valve job and the installation of a $10 junkyard carb I think my car is now peppy.

In general I think peppy is a nice way to describe "goes pretty good but it ain't no V8". Kinda like the difference between "good shape" and "needs TLC". TLC means it's a piece of crap but may start, drive and stop.:rofl2:

    So here's a non-scientific description of my Cougar's peppyness.

106* day 0-60 mph in 17 seconds by my watch.
Same day 45-60 mph in 8 seconds.

Total weight, with my lard arse about 3,250 lbs.

I guess kind of peppy. But not as peppy as my Ranger with the 2.3 liter 4.
