I am thinking about having dual exhaust installed on my '91 Olds Custom Cruiser. The tranny cross member has a hump in it for the right side only. Will a later model cross member from an LT1 work?

My Malibu had a similar crossmember that somebody cut the bottom out of and welded on a piece of flat bar on the top. It worked, but looked a little ragged.
