I recently accuired a 87 Buick LeSabre wagon that has had the lock punched out on the passenger door. Rather just replace the door than try and fix this one. There's a mid eighties Electra wagon in a local junkyard and several early to mid eighties GMs also. What doors will interchange with mine? Also did all the estate wagons have the woodgrain on the side??

Yes the doors will interchange with no problems. The only thing you might have to change is the inside door panel. As far as woodgrain I would say most likely yes the Estate wagon was the top of the line. But there is always the chance some one could have ordered one without the woodgrain. The great part about the mid 80's wagon is so much will interchange even the transmission will. Mine has a Olds 307 with a 200 4R trans which will bolt up to a chevy engine,

and another way to find out what will fit...find an old auto wrecker ...befriend the guy and ask him to look it up in his "interchange" books...i'd kill for the 50/60's edition of those books:D

If the Electra doors will fit that'd be great. That Electra is even the same color as the LeSabre, but does have tha woodgrain on it. Could that be taken off without damaging the paint. My wagon has been repainted so it may have had woodgrain to begin with. It's also a 307 but I don't know what trans it has, all I know is it's over drive. About a manuel, never thought, I know a guy that ran a junkyard for years. I'll bet he has one, he's running a car repair shop right behind his house. Thanks a bunch for the help guys!!

The Buick doors will fit GM just used different grills and dashboard in the 80's wagons I have had 3 Caprices and everything interchange.I went to a Pull A Part in Charlotte and had several wagons in the 80's guess what even the tail lights interchange. You have a 307 Olds Engine? Most likely you have a 200 R4 here is a link you can verify this with.
