Sure seemed like Bozo was working yesterday! Started snowing agian so I got all set up for doing some inside home renos, pugged in my tile saw and the phone rang and "REDRUM, CHINES FIRE DRILL, PANIC:woohoo1:"
One of our companys F-550's loaded to the max and hauling a large dump trailer is aparently blowing up as it coming down the island highway. The truck is supposed to baby it's way to my house. I fly out the door and get all the cars out of the drive way and wait, then My shop manager phones and says he's coming to pic me up....because the driver decided to limp to Wall Mart because it would be eazer for his wife to find him, to bring him home. 1st off... the guy drove with in 100 yards of my house (he aslo knows where my house is) to get to W-Mart. 2nd... theres me and the shop manager who would have driven him home. 3rd.. he drives the truck and trailer, all 45+ feet long nose first into the most crouded corner of the parking lot!:slap: Now I have to get it out and baby the thing back to my house through a over crouded parking lot and city traffic, in the snow, truck hammering LOUD, and pushing magor smoke, with almost no power. A few hours later I come back inside put all my tools and stuff away because today at noon I'm getting picked up, go to work, get another 550, come home, bring the big trailer back to the shop, and then figure out what to do with the broken 550.....there goes Sunday.:banghead3:

Ontop of that BS, I have to be at work for 5AM Monday!

    So Tedy -
Are you the company's paid vehicle maintenance tech, or is that one of the unpaid job skills they take advantage of?

We have a liciened tech/mechanic on staff, he came to my home Sunday and we got it done, the truck n" trailer back to the shop. No way am I taken advantage of or visa versa. I get paid well, and get paid for my time when ever I work and get taken care of pritty darn good . My work cell phone is on 24/7 and yes I've had calls and had to leave for work at stupid crazy hours. If I can't "go" after normal work hours/week ends for what ever reason I'm still part of the "phone sex" to make sure things happen, get people, find solutions, "get er done"....it's what my job is and, did I metion I get taken care of pritty darn good?:yup:
