Day at the lake

never in my life did I think I would see this. I called it as soon as we rounded the bend. “It’s a water car!!!” Actually an amphicar? So cool. Made my day. The driver is the owner of the lane motor museum. He was giving out rides to anybody who wanted one. Very nice of him. I have a video of him going in the water but can’t upload it

 

Yup, that's an Amphicar. Did you go for a ride?

 

That owner looks so old and decrepit that it would have been child's play to yank him out of there and then give him a ride in his own car. You didn't do that, now. Did you?

Did everyone wear seat belts and have life preservers on? Lots of ticket opportunities for an alert conservation officer there.

Yeah! I just noticed to0, the large European looking license plate in the side is the same I.d. They use for boats. So he has to register with the DMV and TWRA.

 

Bummer on the no ride. Riding in an Amphicar and a VW Schwimmwagen are on the Bucket List.

 

Hahahadont put it like that!! Now I’m regretting my decision..probably never get the opportunity again. The cool thing About this guy and his museum is that a lot of the cars in there he’s driving and maintaining. Come to Nashville. I’m willing to bet he does this sort of thing a lot. That being said I’m sure there’s lots more on your bucket list than riding in tiny cars that have a potential of sinking
