Hello, my name is Matern Harmsel and i'm new to this forum that i've just discovered. Currently i'm doing a body off restauration on a very solid 1958 Buick Caballero. Altough the Buick has a rotfree and straight body the car has a lot of issues caused by neglect over the past years. The goal is to get the car restaured as origimal as possible. Since the orignal glass is heavilly burned by the sun i want to replace all the glass. The question is that a lot of glass specialists in the USA can deliver glass but cannot reproduce the original data codes witch are etched in the glass. Does anyone of you forum members have a lead of who is capable of etching the data codes in the glass. Btw, i do live in the Netherlands, do have a few classic American cars that i've restored myself. Thanks and have a nice day! Matern
Someone in one of the forums I'm on had original markings etched into repro glass for their restoration. I'll try to find the forum and thread, but in the meantime, look at the thread on the '59 Caballero restoration. I'm sure you'll find it quite interesting. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/1958-buick-caballero.32581/
