    I wonder if that was done later in life or if it was one of the spacial order fleet units for school/airport use? If it was a coach built unit I bet they did what was needed to strengthen the frame at the time of the conversion.

    Those were built by Stageway / Armbruster. I just learned about one that is located in the far west, and am considering buying it for a restoration project. I am waiting for additional pictures to see how good or bad it is. Supposed to be rust free, needing paint and a drive train. Just don't want to get in over my head on a car like this...
