Getting everything ready to leave this weekend. Getting the '55 Bel Air all cleaned up for my pops. I'm trailering a '75 Nova I bought to sell so I'll just hang out this year. I'm gonna try to post lots of pictures next week. Here's a couple of the '55 cleaned up.
Very nice. One of these years, I'm gonna make down to that event. Won't be this year though. Too much going on. Have fun!
I said something similar for years. Only for us it would have been UP. Now it's too far DOWN to ever do. Just cruisin along the Gulf would be exciting. For you it's mostly 90MPH highways all down hill. We have done that in the '55 wagon but we were in the only street rod at those times. I seem to always be a little offon dates. I blame my wife for not getting married till the middle of Oct. We'll just sit and wait for Dennis to take a couple 1000 photos.
Yep it wouldn't be a bad drive. And I've got friends in Mississippi that we could stay with. I've discussed it with him before. Just a matter of priorities and time.
I'm ready now, I'm going to go tomorrow evening, already hearing lots of cars showing up. Last few years it has been 7500+ registered cars. I didn't register this year, all that does is get you parking in venue only places but it has gotten so big half the time they run out of spaces so just as many are parked on beach and parking lots. Basically it's a week long car show everyplace you look.
