My '68 Ford didn't originally have a coolant overflow bottle. I wanted to add one that would siphon back into the radiator on cool down. Space is at a premium under hood due to some other mods I have planned, so I decided to build one myself that takes up very little room.
This is what I started with. 2-1/2 inch exhaust tubing, 2 freeze plugs, and a stick of 5/16 brake line.

I tapped one of the plugs, cut the brake line and flipped the nut around backwards

Then I relocated the horns and cut a hole in the inner fender. Uses the factory threaded inserts for the horns

Laid out pattern on 16ga steel & cut it out

Had a buddy weld it for me

    Painted and installed

Glad you guys like it. It was the first time I'd ever tried building anything from scratch in metal so I'm pretty proud of it.
