No, not crybabies! I'm somewhat of a nutty Vintage Plaid (picnic/camping and automotive themed) collector. Downsized quite a bit but still have stuff to throw into the wagon. Does anyone else enjoy collecting this stuff? I started collecting vintage plaid about 25 years ago when you could find stuff for a quarter maybe a dollar. Some of my best stuff cost well under 5 bucks. Man, those days are gone. At first I brought it around to the vintage trailer rallies and displayed it with our trailer. Later I bought my first wagon and it seemed a natural to display it with the car. Just thought I would share a couple of things. All in good fun of course.

OK those are awesome! I have one picnic basket vintage 1950's or so that I haul around, but nothing like you have so far.

Fetish alarm! Dude, you've been stationed overseas too long. Overcrowded subways can be tempting

I got a collection of Scotch Coolers. Looks great in the back of the wagons.

I will try to get a shot of them next time I use them. Mine are all the same color plaid tan/red/black, 3 different sizes and a couple very small ones that you freeze and put in the bigger ones.

This is from 2009 at the Burlingame Car Show with my old wagon. Lot's of fun and I was there with our friends who brought their cool Vintage Trailers loaded with their own goodies. A few other nice wagons there too!

We didn't have a lot of junk like you. I do remember an old wicker picnic basket, old style dishes and glasses, and an old red Coke ice chest. We'd carry those and a beat up surf board sometimes in the Chevy wagon.
Our problem was we usually had a teen and our regular camping junk too.
The dream of an antique RV never happened. Too many other things to see and do. We did belong to Tin Can Tourists for a while and went to several of their Florida meets. Even a few campouts near their Tampa and Gainesville original home parks.

The moral of this story, buy those things when you see them, get off your butt and follow your dreams.
