Hey, hope you been doing good and your wagon is getting some needed care this winter.

Mine has a whole, multi-page, list of needs and most of them are small, such as the front Retainer for the window glide and both of the de-froster outlet ports. Just the small stuff that gets pushed to the back of the stove while I start assembling the 360cid engine to give the slant 6 a well earned rest.

I'm sure these things never happen to decent people like you people, maybe I was a bad child, but the 3-speed manual transmission started leaking oil from the front seal. Yup, down the driveway and half way across the sidewalk. I took a personal day to clean up the mess and to yank the A-230 tranny off the car. I get the cup off the front and, oh boy, the input shaft bearing is missing about half the bearings and the retainer to keep them little balls properly separated. This gives me some lead as to how the seal got worn, and it also (hopefully) explains a nasty little vibration the car has at 60-65mph since I got it last March.

I have another A-230 on the way mid week and between the two I should have a working transmission back in the wagon by the weekend which, of course, gets the wagon back on the streets where it belongs. Then hopefully I can get back to fixing the little things and also get back to wrenching on that small block 360 some more.

I have to apologize to you for not stopping by and sticking around and do some catching-up with all of you but life gets in the way of most fun. So I l have learned to make it all fun.

My thumbs are up to your wagon, project or finished. The thumbs up which we get at the lights and on the highway, to me, are one of the biggest motivators to fix those little things and to polish it a little more before I bring it out again!!!

Catch up with you some in the near future!

    Rennie

Ain't that the truth! Sitting in the FL heat and humidity, windows down, sweatin' my butt off and a single thumbs up from someone seems to make it all worth while.

Hey Rennie, so glad to see you on here again!

I have thought of your cool Mopar many times, and wondered how it was going.

    Just a bit of polish!

These are the first pics of car about 2 days old for me.
Pretty much the way I found it.
The registration sticker was 10 years old and I had only given it a light car wash before this pic!!!

    Hmmm...

    Patina...

Now you're going to get me mad at myself for polishing it.

    Patina...

I still want to see a Road Runner "dust trail" side stripe stretching from the front fenders back to the tail lights on your wagon.
Amd I'm thinking the flat black Road Runner/ GTX hood stripe, and flat black paint to match across the width of the tailgate between the tail lights.
