Very nice ! Have not seen a wagon in real life since the 60's and only a handful of 60 Ford full-size within 150 mile radius of my area . One year styling only and must not be popular amongst collectors .
Absolutely LOVE the 1960 Country Squire (or even the Country Sedan, for that matter...) Probably the most photographed one is Dave Harkey's in Southern California. I've seen it in person at the big Ford Show in Buena Park - absolutely stunning.....
A friend was doing a 60 2d Ranch Wagon as a custom. He had modified the roof/doors and had a 460 ready to go in. Sadly he has passed on and never got to see it finished. I lost track of the car but I hope someone out there finishes Irv's project. unc
That would make an interesting project. Any pics? What was he doing to the roof and doors? By the way, there were 2-door full-size Ford wagons through the 1961 model year. Here's a couple from the internet: For Sale for $34,900 - 351 Windsor power - In Nebraska http://www.cars-on-line.com/64757.html For Sale for $25,000 - in Riverside, CA. 460 Ford power http://www.cars-on-line.com/63998.html
I found this one in a wrecking yard. I can point anyone in the right direction if they are interested. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/classic-cars-in-a-wrecking-yard.34293/ Going to need to replace all the glass.
No wonder those two for sale had their respective prices...betcha they each had to replace all the glass.
