    This assumes no prior "issues".
As already stated, if it were so easy the seller would have done so. Often they simply just don't wish to pay the fees, okay then drag them with to the DMV to apply if you agree to pay.
I am seeing more and more later model, running cars offered without title as "parts" cars. I suspect some bank or title loan outfit would be very interested in these sales.

Ditto for Illinois but the governor will make your license plates.

What country are you moving too? We live in the country in this country and we have the same idiots, freeloaders, and politicians.
Someone said we could vote them out! But the freeloaders outnumber the retirees and workin people. :banghead3:

Oregon is not far behind on the immorality bandwagon tho.
Our Governor is shacking up, and even the liberal media refuses to call her the "First Lady" of Oregon

The mayor of Silverton wears mini skirts, fishnet stockings, high heels, implants and has been happily married to his wife for many years.
    (Google: Mayor Stu)

Portland is fast becoming the Gay hub of the Pacific, supplanting San Fran.

House speaker in the Capitol Tina Kotek has a "wife", and you can bet that the gay marriage issue will be on the ballot during next years midterm election.

It seems all the weirdo's from California came up here to make Oregon into their image of paradise. :banghead3:

Jairus that just does not seem right. It's even too discusting for further comment. And that's my comment!
However I do like looking at mini skirts, fishnet stockings, high heels, and implants.................:biglaugh:

All of this makes me feel better about mom and dad leaving Portland when I was a kid.

What really hurts is when you buy or sell an old car that has been on the road legally for years, but when the right person at the DMV runs the numbers, it comes up stolen in 1963.

Keep in mind old cars are gas hogs and they pollute the air. Besides they are unsafe and noisy. Everyone needs to scrap them and by a Kia or Prius. So those nice people at many DMV's are just being helpful.:rofl2:

    WRONG!!!
A "lost title" (or duplicate title, in many states) can ONLY be had by the current owner AND only if the car/truck is already in that person's name. Think about it for a second. You see a car at a show or in someone's driveway. You record the VIN/serial number and go to the DMV and apply for this "lost title" and claim you bought the car minus paperwork. Do you really think the state - ANY State - will issue paperwork like that??? Ain't gonna happen, sorry!

So, in Oregon, I could walk up to your car, copy the VIN, make up a phony BoS, and get a title in MY name??? That is exactly what you imply by getting a "lost title" there, so am I right???

From reading the forms that are listed, it would appear that Oregon is no different that other states in a "lost title' situation - you MUST be the current and titled owner of the car. So, how does your scenario work??? Since you say you've worked for the Oregon DMV, perhaps you can walk us through this.
