Just made an agreement to buy this:

Mike (Silverfox) provided some very generous assistance on this one, he and his very knowledgable friend Brian (sp?) drove 100+ miles out to it on Sunday and did a thorough inspection. Aside from a few very small issues, Mike says the vehicle is in amazing shape.

I know in previous posts I had said I wanted a Colony Park, but when I started thinking about it, I decided I liked this Bonneville a lot more.

Yes, the motor is a lowely 307 (but with a 4-barrel), but the overall condition of this wagon makes it perfect for me.

Once we get the money transferred over, I'm going to get the wagon shipped.

Aawww yeah folks. What about it makes it your dream wagon? You like the styling of this era? Starting to get somewhat modern? Mix of old and new? I really dig curves of the wheel wells of this era. Is she a creme color or white? Picture makes it hard to tell. I love white cars recently

    Good luck!

Congrats, looks like the patience paid off and it is always nice to have people jump in and help. Enjoy every minute of it.

White, with a fairly light beige interior. Gonna show the dirt pretty easily, so I'm gonna have to keep here clean. Seller is the second owner. Vehicle has really low miles (forget what the odo said...) Usual power equipment, only driver's seat is powered though. Auto temp control. 3 seats (of course!) 'Fox said it still drives like a new car!

    As to why this one......
Always had a thing for Bonneville Safaris. I don't have the money to get an older one that would be in excellent condition - say a '66 or '67. A very nice one of those would be north of $10k. This one is basically the last year for the full-sized Bonneville Safari.

:clap:Well Congrats KK:bouncy: Dam, I'm jelious as I have allways loved the front end style with the split head lites........to bad the interiour is biege and not red!:rofl2:

Thats awesome, I'm happy for you:)(y) As for the allways getting slamed 307.... OK, mine is on propane but it's never let me down and you kinda live where I live, hills, hills, and more hills and I've never had problems keeping speed and never had to floor the peddle iether. Maybe I'm wrong but you seem to be conservative like me..... if it ain't broke, don't fix it, and leaving it stock will ave you save $ at the gas pump compared to a built up motor. Again with our similar climates, come winter and with a set of proper tires you won't have any problems.

    Congrats again:D(y)

    Nope. It's a 1981.
Pontiac put the 'Parisienne' name on their big boats in the mid '80's. I don't count those. To me, all they are is a Caprice with a different grill and some different upholstery. '81 was the last year for the big Bonneville, with it's own front end sheet metal, it's own dash and door panels, etc.......

We're all happy for you KK. You've got some great friends on here and they do know a little about station wagons and cars of all types.
As for the 307, the old Chevy van I bought had a 307. In just a short time I forgot it wasn't a 350. Ran great and it was a 1987. Made seven trips loaded heavy with cars and junk 1000 miles each way, up and down some pretty good hills between central Illinois and Florida. Even the fuel mileage wasn't bad.
After I tortured it moving, we kept it another seven years or more and used it to camp. Again, loaded to the roof. Those 307's will fool you.
    Nice looking wagon.:dance::2_thumbs_up_-_anima

Wiki lists a Chevy 305 being available in these, not a 307?

As a matter of fact, My old cargo van was a 307 and it was a loaded to the gills work van, and I worked that thing and it never missed a beat!
..... first time in my life I scrapped a runner, wreaker paid me $200 and the van didn't own me a thing(y)

Wouldn't that be even better yet? That's what is in my 55 Chevy wagon now. Really scoots with the HO heads.
No wonder silvertop was able to jump those ditches so easy. :29:
