I agree most of them were a open trailers but I've found a couple old pictures with a closed trailer. Not sure yet on how I'm going to build out the trailer so it may be open in the back part. Still looking for different types of trailers to see what I want.

I think your trailer is to modern for what you are trying to build...... and even if the back is open, your not going to see the drag car:confused:

There are a lot of open trailers in 1/25 scale. I recently saw a diecast truck with open car trailer at Wal-Mart. For something that maybe has the look of something more vintage, MPC made a tilt bed open car trailer and included in in some of the car kits back in the 70's. I remember it being part of the plastic kit for the Chevrolet Caprice coupe from about 73-76. I think it dated back at least to the 1968 Chevy Impala kit.
Even the reissues of the kit included the trailer.
A trailer like that might be a good starting point that you could modify into what you want.

The only real big difference is the back and side trim and the Fury name plates on the out side I'm not sure what the differences are on the interior.

That is turning out real well!
I started a model of my "Surf Rat" long before I bought the real car.

That's as far as I got.... and then the bank took my house and all models went into storage.

Been rebuilding my life and business since. In the mean time bought my '58 Ranch Wagon 'cause I needed transportation and been thinking of pulling that model out of storage and finishing. Which means changing the trim from C.S. to Ranch Wagon. But the rest is easy.

Problem is, it's way more fun to work on the real thing!!!!

I Love the Plymouth Orthmann... please continue. (y)(y)(y)

Dragster on the trailer looks great! Beautiful work as always. I notice you even included a safety chain for the trailer hitch.

That looks great! and nice touch with the chains. What did you use for them?

Back when I was still building models my daughter was little, took her one day to the dollar store for some cheap kids jewelry. Low and behold some of the $1 chain necklaces were a great match for this scale of build and used them on a logging truck build. Some of the necklace chains sold were in various size.

All my finished models are long gone, but they went to a good home. I still have a couple dozen kits unstarted, One day I should see how rusty my skills have gotton;)

Fat Tedy thanks for the comments the chains came with a Revell car transporter but yea I find parts at a lot of different places and now days the internet is a big help building / buying models. I had about a 30 year gap in building and there are a lot of new products to assist you in building the kits to. It's like riding a bike you never forget how.

It's been a long time since I've done a model car. Seeing this wagon of yours makes me want to do one.
