I almost had a 94 1a2 LT1 ex-NY State Police Wagon 2 years ago. $1200 was the asking price and on my way to the bank to get the cash, he sold it for $1000. It was the same blue as my 92. It had front buckets and 3rd row seat delete. That was the major downfalls of it.

The more I look at the interiors of the Caprice wagons from 91-96, the less I like them. They are so plain and I hate the cloth look of them compared to my leather.

Wonder what the history of this wagon is. Ah, if they could only talk. I'm sure it's seen some action on the streets of the Big Apple. I wouldn't be surprised if it has a bullet hole or two somewhere!

This wagon is so much more atmospheric than the Skoda Octavia wagons the Kent Police run where I live.
In fact, I couldn't run an Octavia wagon any more because it looks too much like a police car, not that I would have done previously.

Now you've done it! Andy won't rest until he gets one to keep his 1996 Caprice ghost car company! :rofl2:

Thats a NY car right there. The one I almost bought was the same, but had the 9c1 wheels that the one next to it has. The more I look at them Caprice wagons, the more I appreciate how eligant the Roadmasters look with a simple change of bumper, grill, trim and the vista roof glass. The Caprice just looks so plain to me, tho I would take a nice 94-96, hell even a 91-93 would be fine, motors are easy to build up or swap out.

I can justify any car I buy by saying "it'll save wear and tear on the Fairmont"! :D

Check the NYC auction sites. I'll bet each department runs its own. Might as well get a deal.

Oh speaking of importing a car... The Canadian DOT now does its own inspection for a mere $240 dollars. Don't know if that applies to cars older than 15 years or not.

    Now thats a wagon!
I'd still rather have a LT1 Caprice or Roadmaster though.

All these rides are just a bit sweeter with the Intercepter upgrades.

Ha! just flashed a memory of the Magnum commercials....

Driver: What you got in that thing?

Officer: Four illegal immigrants and 64 kilos of cocaine.
