That's a 1989?!? Is Australia the design test market? I don't think the North American GM cars started looking like that until the 1990s. Very nice work, BTW.

yeah its a 1989 model that had no electrics, only factory fitted A/C.
then i put a 2000 model hsv clubsport fibre glass front and rear on,
then i got feed up with that and decided to go all original again but went to the classy caprice front off a 1997 model, with full electrical loom.ecu so i now have full electrics, central locking.imobiliser.mirrors,roof radio controls with lcds.speakers.electric seats, climate control, stereo remote on sterring wheel.many other handy things full interior swap from the 1997 caprice too which has the leather electric seats and door trims.,woodgrain surrounds on dash and door trims.
the motor was originaly a 3.8ltr buick v6 efi. now i have the 304 5.0ltr efi motor from a caprice. diff was swapted to a lsd with 3,08 gear ratio. i will swap the center to 3.9,

You must be just passed dinner time down there huh?

Glad you're here, because you're proving the case that there really are no clunkers. Upgrades like yours keep older models fresh and more secure and efficient.:thumbs2:

    Very cool!

I've never seen that style 3800 mounted like that. You said you dropped in a 304ci, what exactly is that? Australian GM? More info please. Looks interesting.
