I'm finally putting the 67 vc back together. So far I have the dash ,steering column and all the wiring from firewall to taillights.Everything works except radio( no power from yellow feed) and the dome lights don't work right. My question is ,Should the dome lights work when opening the front doors. Right now they only work when opening the rear doors. I would think all lights would work with either front door open. Let me know how yours work. Thanks Tony

The short answer is yes. My 67 only has the switches for the front doors. The rears were never installed by the factory. My other 67 does have them.

So you're saying the dome lights will work when either front door is open? Mine only work when the rear door is open.I guess I'll have more trouble shooting to do. Any other A body wagon owners have the same problem.

Base model equipment was for the either front door to operate the interior courtesy lights. The switches on the rear doors were part of either a "Convenience Package" or "Light Package", but the front door switches were still operational.

check the ground switch on the door post..since the rears work the problem should be there..unless a wire is broken
