Autotrader scams generally offer a popular car at outrageously low prices. I've noticed 3rd gen RX-7s are often used as bait. So I'm starting to wonder if the scammers are now using '60s classics as bait? This seems to be a great price for this car. So I'm thinking it is a scam. Anyone care to check it out? (At least they got the background right. I always have to laugh when I see a car for sale, supposedly in Ontario, with palm trees in the background. ) http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Edsel/Ra...o/19_8558970_/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=85_15_507
I agree Wow and maybe a palm tree is a little different to what we have . Scam or not its a good lookin Eddie its been a while
Interesting that the ad states Woodstock which is in western Ontario and they have a 519 area code yet it lists a 613 area code (eastern Ontario) which comes back to someone in Syndenham which is 4 hours east.
Thats odd! Makes me trust the seller even less. The 60 Edsel's look like they should be Mercury's to my eye. If I was going to own an Edsel it would have to be the earlier body style for me.
While the upper (more expensive) two ranges of the Edsel line in '58 were based on Mercurys, all the '59's and '60's were Fords with different trim. Particularly with the '60's, it's very easy to tell where they came from.... This is a Fairlane 500 police car, but you get the idea.....
