Finally got my 50 Ply wagon done. Me and a buddy of mine and took this past week off. Started last Sunday with the paint. Put the white on top when that dried, bagged off the top and painted the bottom. Then on Monday we found some light spots and put 2 more coats of turquoise on. Then we cleared the whole car with a gallon and a half of clear. Then on Tuesday we block sanded with 1000, then 1500, then 2000 then started buffing. Still have some parts that will go back on but I have a buddy who is coming to pinstripe the car so I will wait til he gets done.

Ooh, that is really sexy. Was it originally a 2-door wagon?

Yes it was an original 2 door all steel wagon. Plymouth also made a woody/steel wagon and an all woody wagon as well.

Congrats, you have taken one of the world's ugliest cars and turned it into a work of art. It's amazing what people are doing to cars today that we wouldn't have even given a 2nd look at back in the day. Yer the Dude!!

There are much uglier cars than '49-'50 Chrysler products. My first car was a '49 Dodge and I liked how it looked.
As for this wagon, it's super sexy and a great job.:tiphat::thumbs2:

I second the motion. I now make a motion, that as a member of the Bar, we adjourn to one.
