...I'm back. Now broadcasting LIVE from northwest Illinois! I'm also attending CDL classes at a local community college. Yep, I'm gonna get in a truck soon enough. Makes enough sense, I can't stay put for very long. Newish pic of the wagon. Last pic I took of it before leaving Alabama. It sits about an inch and a quarter higher in front and maybe 3/4 of an inch higher in the back now, cut coils be gone! The peeling gutter rail is now 100% black again as well. And I compound/polish/waxed it, so the nasty swirl marks are gone.
Heya, volv! Glad to see you back! Wagon's looking good, too. I don't remember where you lived before...was it a long move? Job change, too? What's up? Anyway...glad to have you back in the family again.
back. Wagon is looking good! I still can't get over how awesome it looked when you face lifted the head lamps.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
A future truck driver living in North West Illinois. An extruck driver from central Illlinois now living in NW Florida. Altho I don't know you I assume you are tall. Hitting your head repeatedly on a Volvo headliner can cause all sorts of irradic behavior! But the Volvo does look nice.
Thanks guys! Could've sworn I replied awhile back, but I guess I didn't. Oh well. Really enjoying Moline thus far...beats the hell outta where I used to live.
Moline? that's in Iowa! Used to truck from Peoria to Davenport, Burlington, E. Moline and Bentondorph. Camped a lot around Moline. There's some kind of a big Muddy river nearby and a place that makes green reindeer. . Good luck on your truckin. Have fun with the IDOT! Almost sounds like IDIOT and really close!
Yeah, about thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat... The lack of availability of 93-octane premium around here has me raging. Get as far east as Rock Falls, or as far south as Galesburg, and finding 93 premium isn't a problem. F#%^ing Iowa and their disdain for 93 octane spilling over...
Just a BUMPDATE!!! I'm now officially a trucker. Completed training, final orientation was yesterday and the day before and I'm now sitting in my very own [company] truck. So, if any of y'all see Crete truck 33451 on the road, be sure to make a racket 'cause das' me!
Movin On Congradulations. I knew a few truckers once. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima Are you gonna be over-the-road or just all over the road ?
Oh hell, I dunno, probably just all over the road No, really, I'll be OTR. Which at Crete means all over the eastern half of the country, with a couple West runs per year.
Pretty much, I'll be running everywhere east of Texas (& straight up from there) for the most part. Didn't think they ever had anything but red trucks, you might be thinking of Schneider, whom I had an app out to, but they blew me off. Based on some developments that have been brewing over there in the last couple of months, I'm starting to be rather glad they blew me off. Crete will be a much better fit for me.
