strangest thing, the driver door lock button worked when I got it, stopped for a day then started working again and stopped again, every other button works including the unlock portion, the passenger side lock button works just fine

ive pulled the switch and ohmed it out and the button is fine, the pins are good and the wire harness is good, I even held the lock button down and wiggled the harness and wires, nothing.

this car originally came with key remotes but I have none anymore but I don't think that is related. is this some feature of the car that I don't understand, or maybe a bad connector deep under the dash that joins the door switches together, im at a loss, don't want to pull the whole underside plastic loose because its in suck good shape, anyone have a similar issue with a century wagon, or even sedan, I think this stayed the same for a good span of years with just a front end upgrade and a better radio

guess ill just have to trace the wiring manually, was hoping someone was familiar with where the connector is, if I find it ill take a photo and post for future users who might have same vehicle

When you checked continuity, did you do so with the 'LOCK' portion closed, in order to check the correct current paths? The paths are different when the switch is in a neutral position, but typically, when the switch doesn't work but all the other switches in the system work, it's a bad switch. My '97 Exploder has a bad driver's door 'UNLOCK' switch, but I've been too lazy to replace it. I just reach across and use the 'UNLOCK' button on the passenger door.

Have a look at the wire bundle that spans the gap between the door and cowl. All of the flexing can cause a wire to break, sometimes the break is invisible too as the conductor breaks but the insulation remains intact.

I've run into that with power windows (just once, though). You have to 'wiggle test' and shut the door to bend the wires to see if you can cause the open circuit to show itself.

I had a Chevy van that the driver door lock sometimes acted up. Seems like I had to readjust the contacts or push the wires on tighter.
    Okay, no help!
