I'm new to this site but has anyone ever lowered one of these while retaining the factory rear air shocks?

You must reset the sensor on the rear axle. You may have to get/make a new arm, modify the arm, raise the sensor, or lower the ball stud on the upper right suspension arm. The link can be shortened a little. Maybe some of each. It depends on how far you are lowering it.
