these cars can be super value- buy a real good one for $8-12k, have it mechanically gone through for about -$4-5k and you have an awesome driving car. Values of these are almost bottomed out . I bought a 1996 one for $14k , immaculate and spent $4k mechanically. Less than a new Kia and half the cost of one of those hybrids
I was driving around this afternoon, and happened to notice a Rolls-Royce from this generation coming toward me (going the opposite way). As I passed him, I saw that the driver was some kind of HUGE guy - filled up the entire driver's seat, and even looked as if he had his head crooked to the side a bit, so as not to hit the headliner. I was guessing this might have been the only car he could fit into.......
I once stood on the trunk of a Rolls Royce to install a new garage door opener. The car looked like it hadn't moved in several years and the homeowner said just step on the car. It was rather sturdy. The wrench I dropped on it didn't even make a ding.
Since it was brought up I'll just put this here: http://www3.telus.net/bc_triumph_registry/smoke.htm Pretty good for a laugh if you haven't read it before or if it has been a while. The Q&A is the most entertaining part in my opinion.
