It's always interesting to follow old Jap junk auctions. Especially, when broomsticks are used for holding up hoods. He'd be better off blasting all that scale off, repainting it a color which doesen't make you puke again during a hang-over and then dropping an RX-8 mill into it. Only thereafter should he ask for bigger money for it
I always thought the Rotary engine in a Pick up was a strange choice, while Rotary's are fine engine's one thing they lack is low end torque, and that is usually what is needed to haul things around. I do like it in a weird way though.
For that thing in the shape it is, you're absolutely right. However, rotary engines do indeed have their fan club and if that truck was done right, it could draw a handsome price, as a custom. Nothing says that you have to haul anything else, except @$$
