Pictures of the underbody would be nice to see, especially for a Ford from this era. Description is a bit lacking too.

Like the tartan seats. Think these are original to the LTD? Krash found the reference to the tartan interior for the Torino a while back in this thread:

And we've seen tartan seats in the Pinto and Maverick too, if I recall. But not on the LTD?

The plaid seats were an option on the Country Squire, Country Sedan, Torino wagon and Torino Squire. I can't find anything in the brochures showing that it was an option on LTD sedans and hardtops.

I would not have thought it, but the plaid upholstery could be original.

Good sleuthing, JWDTenn. Those seats, if original, look to be in pretty darn good condition. Considering they're cloth and probably easy to wear out. Or else someone went to a lot of trouble to find the matching tartan to reupholster the seats.

Here's an enlargement of the pic from the Ford brochure. Looks to be the same.

Another thing that makes me think these are the original seats is the plastic rectangle insert on the seat backs. These were original to the Country Squires. If someone reupholstered the seats, they went to a lot of trouble to put the plastic rectangle insert back on.

My '64 had a similar thing on the seat backs.

I doubt they're going to get that much for it, but you never know. It won't sell on eBay anywhere near that. eBay buyers are bargain hunters.

$14,950 on Mainly Muscle Cars web site:

Quote from web site: "The previous owner has told us that the unique blue plaid interior was part of set of options for the Equestrian minded buyer." Equestrian minded buyer?

    Equestrian minded buyer?

Maybe he means the upholstery looks like a horse blanket.
