    Hello!

First post, but looking forward to being active on the forum.

I have a 68 Fairlane Wagon I picked up several months ago that I am slowly cleaning up. It will never be show quality, but I am just making it a good driver.

the plastic panels in the rear cargo area (Either side of the rear window, over the wheel wells and on either side of the 2nd row seat) are all slowly falling apart.

Anyone know what model and years vehicles are interchangeable? I haven’t had any luck finding a source for aftermarket replacements but I do see some donor vehicles that may or may not have parts that will work…

On another note… will the dual / facing third row seats from a 70+ fit a 68 that was originally supposed to have the single rear facing bench? My car has the “void” for the third row seat, but now seat and I have a line on the dual setup from a ‘70..

Thanks in advance for any help!

As far as I know, no one makes anything aftermarket for Ford/Mercury wagons. And what sucks is the panels are eggshell-fragile. So, make your own. Do them up how you want them to be.

They are worse than eggshell! A hard sneeze from the front seat causes pieces to disintegrate and fall off, lol!

I really didn’t expect to find an aftermarket source since there were so few wagons.. was really just trying to find out how many other years / models shared the same panels so I could widen my search..

    Thanks!

Sadly, it'll just be the '68 Mercury full size wagon (Commuter and Colony Park) to your '68 Fairlane. The only one I've seen, at a JY I go to in South San Antonio, has a '68 Commuter, but the interior is beat to snot. Anyway, I wanna say '65-'70 or '71 is the same basic, for Ford and for Mercury, but don't quote me on that. Essentially, any fullsize in that year range with a Magic Doorgate is a candidate.
