These Thunderbirds never had floor shifts in them. The '55 - '57 T-Birds did, I believe, but after that, there were no more floor shifts until the '83 model.
What a great car! By far the best value in a big-block classic in my opinion is the '65-'70 or so T-Birds. Beautiful interiors, tons of options, and usually sporting at least a 390 or, if you're lucky, a 428 or 429. And they can be had for a song.
