I am going to err on the side of caution on this one and I'm calling bullshit. I mean, would you buy something from a guy that has only 2 rating on ebay for 32 large?

The ad states that it's leather upholstered. Are we talking about the same vehicle?

Could be a problem with someone whose first language is not English confusing "vinyl" and "leather". On the other hand, it's funny how many people whose language actually *is* English say their vinyl seats are "leather".

Many younger folks don't remember the days of vinyl seats.

Well, that may be, but I think there is also the possibility that it IS real leather. The upholstery is obviously new, but done in the original pattern, I believe. And they do have some talented upholsterers down in Mexico. I suspect that the leather itself is also fairly cheap down there. Maybe they duplicated the original pattern, but in leather.

The ad also states that the vehicle isn't restored:
That's what got me suspicious, when it mentioned leather upholstery which was never an option in a semi-utility vehicle, not forgetting that this was 1964

OK.... I missed that part. If that's the case then, it's vinyl.

They made vinyl seats? I heard that Vinyls are extinct in America. Maybe they still hunt Mexican Vinyls for their pelts.
    Nice looking "unrestored" wagon.

Vinyl is just what they call the hides. The little buggers are called 'Naugas'........Naugahyde.

Here's one of them...hard to spot - not too many pics out there of 'em...

I remember them, Nauga's, where Naugahyde comes from. After the 60's Naugas were endangered. Too many customizers hunting them and skinning them for the pelts.
They are related to the Bigfoot family tree. Bigfoot hydes were too hair and only used as carpeting in custom vans.

They're even extinct in Mexico, these days. So extinct that drug cartels ended up hunting and skinning each other. Because the hides were so blemished, they were only suitable for covering soccer balls.
I suspect, others were used for facial transplants, to visually change identities
