I'm looking for a 64 CS wagon to restore. If anyone has one for sale or has passed on one themselves, I would appreciate an email. Thanks-Marty

Welcome to the forum. You're close to the right Classifieds section of the forum to ask that in, Here's a link to the right place to ask:

    http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=15

The section of the forum you posted in (Station Wagon Auctions, Craigs List and Other Station Wagon Classifieds which is part of the Classifieds section) is specifically for cars that are already for sale, not for "Wanted" ads. I hope you find the 1964 Country Squire.

And there was a really nice but in my opinion, way over priced one on E-bay last week.

I'm guessing you're looking for something in between. Keep looking. You'll find one. Meanwhile please introduce yourself in the intro section and include pics of your GTX. We like pictures even if they aren't pictures of wagons.

Thanks. I've seen this one. Shipping is about $2400. I made an offer on the car but didn't hear more. He sent me close-ups of the rear quarters which need to be replaced, other than that, not a bad car.

This '64 Country Squire has appeared in this forum before:

I'm 99% sure that this is the same car that I first saw for sale on Long Island a couple of years ago. Then, it was for sale for $6,000. The interior was in bad shape. AFAIK the interior hasn't been improved upon since I saw it last (the seller could help out here by posting pics of the interior). I don't think it's worth $12,500 but I'll let others be the judge of that.

There's this "project" also in Florida:

Normally, I wouldn't consider it worthy of inclusion on this forum. But there it is.

Thanks. I saw this ad several weeks ago. Out of respect for the owner, i have sent him an email requesting more info. I haven't figured out how the rear end is supported, wood maybe?

This is the same car that was listed for $6500 two months ago. Owner had a more local offer and we quit corresponding. Now, the guy that was going to buy it, has had the owner do more work before consummating the deal and has actually had the "sack" to relist the car for sale himself without even buying it. Strange world. Anyway, I am in contact with the owner. He sez it has a 4spd with console. If you know if any of these 64 CS's came from the factory with that option, I'd like to know about it.
