I'm Kyle. I'm on a few other forums like the HAMB as "LowHeat". My family and I are involved with our local church and enjoy hanging out with friends and family and going to car shows.

    We have a 61 Falcon with a 170 straight 6 with a 3 on the tree.

We used to have a 49 chevy 2 door sedan and then our daughter came along and we didn't fit very well so we got rid of that and got the wagon... now we fit but we can't go very fast (it's really wound up at about 65).

    The old 49...

We also have a canned ham project. A 1969 Scotty Sportsman...

Oh yeah, I like to pinstripe. I'm not a pro or anything but I enjoy it and some times I can make some extra money with it...

    I really like wagons...

    Hey Kyle,

Welcome to the forum! Your gonna like it here! You have a really great Falcon wagon!!!

I am nuts about 1961 Falcon wagons! I love their grille, and the wonderful chrome moldings that outline the sides. All one-year-only details that really set the '61's apart. (y)

Your looks like a nicely optioned one with power rear window, and back-up lights, and luggage rack.

    Your Scotty is great, too!

Looking forward to more pics of your wonderful '61!

    David :Welcome::Welcome::Welcome:

What a nice Falcon wagon you've got, Kyle. I love the way the right hand rear view mirror is on the top of the door rather than the bottom. That '49 sure is low; how in the world would you pull it into a driveway or go over a pot hole. (I've always wondered that about low riders.) The Scotty looks pretty neat, too. Any pics of the inside of it? We love pictures so post away!!
    Welcome.

thanks guys, look forword to being apart of the forum.

The wagon has a ways to go, this weekend I am putting in a new headliner and window seals. Once that is done it will be my daily driver...:49:

Oh and "snooterbuckets"... I could raise it up to drive the 49! but I could still drive REALLY low :)...

    Thanks Kyle. That explains it.
I clicked on a couple of those "flame thrower" you tubes on the bottom of yours. They're amazing. I've never seen anything like that.

Welcome to the Forum Kyle. Neat wagon and the 49 looks like a ton of fun. I know what you mean about the 170 Thrift power engine. They were cheap to run but were sure slow. I have a buddy who has a '64 Econoline van with the same engine and he's found a later engine that is larger and has way more torque that is I understand a direct swap in. I'll find out what it is and let you know if he has any hassles doing the swap once he gets that done. I believe he'll be doing this in the next two to three months.

As for the old trailer - great find. There is a group called the Tin Can Tourists who are folks with vintage trailers and many of them tow them with vintage wagons. You'll find their site on the net. We go to three of their events a year and they are great fun.

    Glad you found us.

Well, I thought I would post a drawing that I did of the 61...
    "Geez Louise"

And then Chip Foose came to my work and I asked him if he would draw my wagon for me and he did this...

I had my drawing hanging up in my office and that is what Chip went off of... Not that we think exactly alike!

I guess I'll put a little background to this...
I work at Stillwater Designs (aka Kicker) and you might have noticed that Kicker has been on a quite few episodes of Overhaulin'. I was lucky enough to go once and help on the 71 Chevy longbed "Family Truckster". Any way Chip came to Oklahoma for a couple of days to see our facility and help promote our products, he did an autograph session and all that. My wife and I and a select few even got to go eat dinner with him!

Kyle, that is so cool! I like Chip's drawing (y), but yours is even better! :thumbs2:

I always figured Chip Foose is a super nice guy, and you prove it to be true!

Your plans for your "Geez Louise" look awesome! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

    David :)
