I have a seat out of a Ford wagon, my dad says its the 3rd row from a 66 full size. I am a bow tie guy so I have no clue. Any help would be great. Thanks Tom
Assuming that seat is from a full-sized Ford, it would have to be no newer than 1964. Starting in 1965, Ford had the dual side-facing rear seats. Seat upholstery pattern does look like a '63 - '64, but it could be a bit older.
Thanks for the info guys, dad said it was a 62 about a year ago and added four years today and said 66. It is taking up space in a shop and is not used. Trying to get it's application so I can part with it to someone who can use it. Hay Mark where the hell is Rural, Nebraska?....it's all rural. ;~ )
Here's link to 60 CS showing good pics of seats, looks pretty close? http://www.hemmings.com/hmn/stories/2010/01/01/hmn_buyers_guide1.html
Ha, I hadn't even noticed that little hint, ha ha... Ha ha ha ha........ ha ha ..... I would think someone's got to be looking for one of those. seems like a treasure for someone restoring their car or desiring to go from 6 to 9 places for placing people. I hadn't seen your location designation there. Howdy neighbor! I grew up in Omaha, arguably a true large, of not big, city. I then lived in the greater (size-wise) Los Angeles area for 13 years so I still tend to make the distinction ... I'm in Neligh, how about you?
Mark, I love your drawings, may need you to do one of my 64 2dr wagon I am doing. I was born in Colorado and moved to McCook, Ne and graduated there, Attended Hastings College, moved to Omaha for a short stint and now back in Hastings. Thanks for link MotoMike. Anybody have a picture of the third row? and does it face forward or to the rear like the chev. did?
Found this photo of a high-dollar restored 61: It is front-facing, unlike the GM version. The car is currently advertised for sale by Daniel Schmitt & Co. in St Louis. Here is a link to the ad; it has LOTS of good photos: http://schmitt.com/viewimage.asp?ID=4697
Thanks for the photo, I was having a hard time seeing how it set up as the Chev's face back and all fold separate to make the floor deck. (two pieces).
My 61' 2 door Falcon Wagon has the same size seat. 17" x "48. I could tell by the bar on the bottom of the seat. It is used as support when the seat is folded down.
