Studying that car and comparing it to mine, only a year older.... a couple things come to mind. I would not like the door lock key in the handle button. There is no apparent access panel to get to the wiper arms? (No cowl vent) Grill is made of very thin aluminum that would become distorted by a rock on a gravel road. "Ranch Wagon" Script is soooooo big on the back fender. And while all exterior sheetmetal looks bigger.... the stampings on the door posts exactly match my car confirming my thoughts that the '59's were only warmed over engineering from the two earlier years rather than a stand alone car. I like my '58 even more now.
I've never been a fan of '59 Ford styling, but many like it. I think '57 is the best, and '58 is a nice follow-up. Love '60-'64. But IMO, '59 is grotesque from every angle. Oh, and life's too short to try and make it through all those photos! ARGH! David
That deserves to be saved from his "ratrod" mentality - especially the utter nonsense about clear-coating "patina". I hope that is one fad that goes the hell away very, very soon!
Oh... it will. Eventually all things pass away. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” - Revelation 21:4
