In other words, it doesn't burn oil except when it does.

I missed that. Maybe it only does it for a few seconds or maybe not.

So i contacted the seller yesterday asking some more specific questions and I gotta say this is one of the few times where the seller was brutally honest about what problems the car has. I have wasted my time looking at 3 wagons this year because the ad did not match the car at all. So on this car it appears the body is in great shape and the seller said the interior is nice. The engine is losing power and he doesnt know if its an actual engine or transmission problem. A potential buyer who is a mechanic looked at it but hasnt made him an offer so that is saying something. I think this could be a car for someone who has time and mechanical experience. I sent the email from the seller to my best friend who is a certified mechanic and waiting for his opinion but i think im going to pass, i am in the middle of some home construction and my son plays 2 sports each season and I coach so I dont have the time. Contact the seller though if you are interested because he was honest and saved me from wasting my time again.
