For those unaware, if you want to make a HIGHLY accurate replica of the Wagon Queen Family Truckster, like this one, it's quite the job. One of the most difficult aspects is in the back, where you replace the factory cargo area quarter windows with ones from a '72-'77 mid-sized Gran Torino (or comparable Mercury wagon), swapping them left for right, and visa-versa. You've also got to do some fill-in metal work, since the new windows are a bit narrower, and the shape is different.

Personally, I'm not a fan of these replicas, since they seem to make a joke out of what we here all love to appreciate, which is the GREAT AMERICAN STATION WAGON.

Everybody who posts about Clark Griswold or the family truckster thinks they are the first person think of that since 1983.
