    That’s the good news. The bad news is when you roll it on the trailer it snaps like a saltine cracker.

    Bill - funny that you said that - I had a 67 Merc fastback do the same thing to me in Bethlehem PA!

    You and I are from different parts of the country, but rust belts none the less. Saw my share of saggy frames in Chicago. Lol. Most old cars wound up at Victory auto salvage for extreme rust issues up to and including Swiss cheese frames.

    Maybe that ol' Merc of mine was ahead of it's time - it had four-wheel steering when we went to put it on the roll-back!(at least it looked the part)

    I guess that was a common problem on those fullsize 65-72 Fords/Mercs.
