Damage looks less than minor at current body shop prices. http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/5844415659.html
It's both "nearly perfect" and "nearly entirely immaculate." Only two? Isn't there anything else it can be "nearly"? It does look like a good car if you look at it from the driver's side. But, you're right, that "minor" fender bender is anything but, and it makes the car worth something less than $4,500. I figure at least $1,000 to get that front end fixed.
I would be willing to be that fiberglas header panel has at least a few cracks in it, from being so close to the area of impact. If you had to repair or replace it, that could complicate things.
I think there is a lot more damage than we are seeing. IMO that header panel is trash can material, bumper of course with marker light and then that pot metal grill I question..... I'd suspect hidden damage to the mounting points. but then again, very hard to tell with such a selective picture. I guess that's why it's "nearly perfect" and "nearly entirely immaculate."........ seller mite as well have added "I nearly took a great picture of the damage" To me, if it were in driving distance I would not bother due to the asking price of $4500.....it's a crashed car!! to bad though as I have (and I'm %99.9 sure I do) everything to fix it other than match the paint.
It could be a decent car at $2,500 if you'd work on it yourself to perfection and have fun driving it, right? Then again this isn't the most detailed ad so I can't tell much about clearcoat scratches from here.
Fogged up windows on a deserted beach by the fire. I'm thinking the interior will likely need a good cleaning too.
