Complete with cornering lights! http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...ien-Station-wagon-for-sale-W0QQAdIdZ520350207
This one is interesting. For starters, it is the base model Canadian Pontiac, so is a very basic car indeed. I wonder what other interesting options are on this one, as cornering lamps were not common, even on the top of the line Parisienne Brougham. On a Laurentian, especially a wagon, they must be beyond rare. It looks to be in very good shape, too. The only flaw I can spot is that the side molding is missing off the driver's side back door. Even the front bumper filler looks to be perfect. Certainly worth a good look for someone looking for a slightly 'out of the ordinary' wagon.
Yeah, that would definitely be rare I would say. I thought it appeared to be a base model and seemed to be unusual with the cornering lights. That would really be rare around here (that model name) because we didn't have those in the states. The base model was Catalina down here. It looks like a good solid car! I love the front end on the 1980 models!
My pretty-well loaded Bonneville Safari doesn't even have the cornering lights....... Who knows? Could have been some company-ordered vehicle where they did a lot of night driving on country roads where the cornering lights would come in handy.
Yeah, even many top level Pontiacs back then didnt have cornering lights... even in the early 70s, most Grand Villes and Grand Safaris didnt have them... a few did though. On the cover of the 1973 Pontiac sales brochure is a '73 Catalina 2dr hardtop that has cornering lights... pretty odd considering that was the lowest priced full-size Pontiac in '73. Here it is!! It also has bumper guards/strips, body side moldings and deluxe wheel covers.
hey, hey, hey Not a bad wagon... Not a woodie... Have seen a few like this. Pontiacs can be damned good looking wagons, wearing woodie. The 39 Pontiac wagon at the Petersen Museum was the pen-ultimate, though.
